I’m an active duty Marine and before I came in , I had about 3 years of college. I have accrued around 13k Student loan debt during this time. Does anyone know of any grants or government programs that might help eliminate this debt ? *other than the soldier/sailors relief act. . . .
Anything will be helpful , thankyou !
dont know of any but try military one source they are usually pretty good about finding this kind of information out.
If I’m not mistaken the GI Bill can be used to pay off a certain amount of college debt
Visit your education center. The education counselor will know about military and other programs that can help you.
Nope, your gonna have to pay it off the old fashioned way.
You could have ask for loan repayment when you enlisted, but then you would not have qualified for the GI Bill if you had.
But there is no program to pay the student loans of military members, that I have ever heard of.
Practically any type of loan can be wrapped into the debt consolidation process. Common types include finance charges, late fees and overdraft charges, credit cards, personal loans, utility bills, medical bills, car loans, store cards, gas cards and back taxes.

Unlike bankruptcy, in which debts are cancelled and your credit rating collapses completely, debt consolidation loans are essentially a type of refinancing, where several old loans are replaced with a new one that has more favorable terms.
