Has anyone heard of the McKenzie Group, a company offering student loans for a fee?

My daughter is applying for Student loans and was offered a loan throguh this company for a fee of 349. 00. They asked her for her bank information etc
Don’t do it. Go through a major bank.
There ARE a few legitimate aid counselors out there that charge a fee to find GRANTS and SCHOLARSHIPS, but there is absolutely NO reason to pay a fee to get a loan. Her school’s financial aid department will help her find what she needs for free.
Incidentally, there’s a lot of free money available for kids who are willing to hunt it down. I bought a big book at the store full of thousands of different scholarships, contests and grants.
This is a scam. . . $350! Geez.
