How to acquire funds to study abroad? Ie student loans?

I am currently a 6th former at a UK school and am looking to go to university in America. . . At this moment in time i am not sure which university as i’m still doing AS levels.
The only problem is i’ve noticed American universities are very expensive compared to UK universities and my family aren’t exactly too rich.
Also a Student loan in the UK for me would be pretty easy to get as my sister went through the whole procedure etc etc
But what would i need to do/ how much could i get for a Student loan (if there is one) to study abroad in America?
Some questions:
How much could i get?
What are the repayment terms?
Where would i get said loan?
