I am a 25 year-old male who has made some poor decisions in my past. I went to College and took out Student loans and in short i never paid them. Now i owe around $32,000 dollars to a collection company and cant seem to get ahead. They garnish a percent of my wages and it seems like with what they take its not even covering collection costs and interest rate. I read online bout this debt companies who can help but I’m not to sure what to use. Anyone please help me with this problem im having.
Most, if not all, debt settlement/relief companies are scams.
There is no relief for student loans. You cannot bankrupt against them. You are stuck, they take your income tax returns as well.
You can always move to Aruba and change your name and identity LOL. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
i think you can get help for the lawer.
If the $32,000 is all student loans then a bankruptcy cannot provide relief from them. It depends what type of student loans are these; did you receive them from a bank? are they federal student? I would avoid debt companies and try to negotiate with the lender directly or obtain assistance from a free debt counselor.
Try talking to the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (www. NFCC. org).
