Plus student loans and medical school?

I am going to UCSD next year and have to take out some Student loans. I need to know when I will have to pay them back. I will probably take the “plus loans” and go to medical school after 4 years. Then do I have to give them back during my residency or what?
You have to pay loans until AFTER you finish school and since you’re attending medical school after your undergrad degree, I believe you don’t have to pay them back AFTER you’re done with med school because you’re still considered a student.
