Student loan clarification.. What does “defer and align principal payments for excellent loans” mean?

This is what my lender will do with the interest on the loan whilst I am nevertheless in school and during the grace period.. Does this basically suggest to accrue interest without capitalizing it? If I paid on the interest/loan while in school, would I end up having to pay back much less? Basically I want to know what I can do to end up paying the least quantity interest back.

Pay your loan while in school and you will benefit from that later.
