Student Stafford Loan lifetime limits?

There are also annual limits for the Stafford Loan but I saw a lifetime limit of 57,000. Is it possible to get roughly 28k per year for 2 years instead of the annual limit of 10k or 12k? Then I could go to grad school and defer those loans.
No.
You can’t get more than the annual limit per year (28K a year is over the annual limit). . . no matter what the lifetime limit is.
