Who is the best lender of student loans, that don’t require good credit?

My fiance needs a loan, but has never received one before (lucky him-I’m 15k in debt). He can’t receive the stafford loans til late august, but he needs $ now for bills I can’t cover. What lender should he use? Fico is about 580, no co-signer, consistent work history for a year.

Access Group or Sallie Mae. I took loans out from both for grad school when I had zero credit history and still carrying college loans.

If he does an educational student loan his loan won’t be disbursed until school starts, even if it’s a private loan. He should contact his bank and ask for a short term loan that he can pay off once he receives his financial aid refund check.
